Tatas and Singur --A Strong Disagreement

In the recent past i came across the news of Ratan tata's regretful decision to shift the nano car project out of singur in west bengal which is in the intrest of the nano small car projects sucess, viability and in the light of oppositions continued and heightened agitation there, although work began at jan 2007.
During the 90 minute meeting with chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Ratan Tata confirmed that they took this regretful decedion to move the nano project out of west bengal, as they wqere left with no option and this decesion was taken despite the investor friendly policies of the govt. And Ratan tata himself told to journalists that he still have a great deal of respect for the leadership of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.
Althou indistries minister Nirupam sen said that this decision is very unfortunate for west bengal. Meanwhile Trinamool congress chief Mamta Banerje, who has been spearheading (leading) the agitation at singur for return of the land taken forcibly from the farmersfor this project described the decision as " a Joint game plan of Tatas and CPI(M). And also she termed the pullout a "Political" one and said the pact between company and govt to set up the project was not being brought out in the open "for it had a political intent".
But tata has completely other things to say about this, that they have a timeline to reachand also made public promises and they cannot let something lie in limbo.
And the next obvious question of where this project going to be relocated is something to ponder, as it is not yet disclosed.
As per tata, they got offers from 3 or 4 states. And tata once again apologised for his decision and categorically denied any issues with state givt., but with circumstances. And he also made it clear that the reason to pull out singur "was the agitation by the opposition party led by Mamta banergee and not the state govt. And he also said that he is bullish about the industrial prospects of WB. He pointed out "Mamta Banerjee had publicly said that people of WB decided that they do not want you..and he is not pulling out because of some whim or fancy.
May be this is political way of gaining selfish motives by the opposition parties, or may be the ruling party. But in the end its the state which has to incur all the losses.
