Loving gesticulates

Twenty two years have passed by, had a taste of everything. Salty Tears, Sweet Joy, Frustration of failure, Ecstasy of success. Nevertheless, had enjoyed a lot, the challenges, the uphill tasks, unbearable burden …still remain intact. The pressure is immense and can shatter a mountain, pulverize granite. ‘THANK YOU LORD’ for your constant support.

I always believe that change is the only constant thing in this universe and nothing is permanent. Not even our life. And In my view life is like a river--will keep flowing. It will keep on changing its course and one has to just flow along with it. Have to survive against the strong up-currents and descend the cascades before joining the sea

If there is anything that I really remember in my life, then that is this 24-hour train journey to kolkata. Well, if you want to reveal in real luxury, head to kolkata. No other city has its sense of leisure, or its idea of luxury.. No other city has this sense of leisure. And am pretty sure that had “Speed” been shot in kolkata it would have forced to rename as “Slow”. If time is real luxury then kolkata is Paris. So serene in every sense. Well, I dare not to lie and say I am good at math. It was few years back on the same day I was heading to kolkata for a fellowship program at Indian Statistical Institute; I claimed a point on   Fermats last theorem and Taniyama Shimura Conjecture with a beautiful lady and had an unusual debate. She and her sister were traveling along with us. And there was a dumbo and two love birds from Infosys. I ditched the wood headed bloke and left the couple to themselves. That young lady was Chitra (21) and her sister Pavitra (15).I started talking to Chitra in the evening and found a lot of common characteristics. We got along so well and indeed our discussions ranged from shopping to girl friends and boyfriends. She was trying to get into International Business and trying to get a break, and hated Hyderabad. It seems her father moved to Hyderabad from Mumbai after a business fiasco. They were doing quite well afterwards and now very much stable. Then we ordered dinner. I hardly describe it as acceptable to the taste or mind. But was forced to eat. After that, it was around 9:00 PM and I thought of sleeping sometime on the berth and asked them to wake me up whenever they want to sleep. I was very tired and fell asleep. After some time, my sleep was disturbed with a cry of an infant. And to my dismay I saw the two sisters sleeping on same berth (U) opposite to me and my friend snoring in the middle berth (Chitra’s).

I was really touched by this event. And I got down, after few minutes Chitra woke up. And when asked why she did like this, she replied that I was fast asleep and she didn’t have heart to wake me up, then she dozed off again. I was moved by his incident and left a note for her. THANKS A LOT. I AM REALLY TOUCHED’. She told me the next morning that it was cute and will be in contact with me later.

Some incidents make permanent impressions leaving one with indelible memories. The most wonderful thing in this world is acts and words for you by someone which tells that somebody cares for you. This stranger taught me a lesson that I will never forget all my life. Although we never ever met again, I will never forget her gesture and will never forget her.

Excruciation and Exaltation –My Good Old Cycle Days!!!

The very word ‘BICYCLE’ reminds me of my good old school days. I still remember how desperate I was for owning a cycle. Thanks to my uncle who gifted me a wonderful bicycle. Well, I guess, I was at the incipient stage of my 6th class, when I had been gifted this. It was the very first kind of cycles having a shock absorber (A mechanical damper; which absorbs energy of sudden impulses). So you know, it was like neighbor’s envy and owner’s pride. I used to take Unreasonable and inordinate self-esteem (personified as one of the deadly sins) every moment I was on it. It was more then a girlfriend to me at least perhaps at that point of time.

Long years ago, when my grandfather used to cycle, cycling for workout would have been a ludicrous idea. And it was broadly or extravagantly humorous; resembling farce. It is no more as people zip around in nippy cars and vehicles and worry about ways to puncture their waist tiers.

Today for some reason I felt like taking my twelve year old gift, pump up the tires. And very few puncture shops exists now a days. And hit the pedal of exhilaration. Without the claustrophobic helmet, the chill winter air is a breath of exhilaration that cannot be imagined.

As I hit the pedals after ages, the biker habits come into play. No matter how hard I resist, the right hand tries to rev up the non existing accelerator. Then I forgot cyclists don’t have accelerator. It’s funny!

A workout has to be fun, going to office is no fun, and midway I decide to pedal to charminar, (whose name is synonymous with Hyderabad). But then due to sealed reasons I changed plan, but the U-turn is yards away. Big deal, lift up the bicycle and put it down on the other side of the divider. It looks like weight lifting but it works your biceps. Text books would suggest that cycling is exercise for calves and thighs, but in Hyderabad it is good for wrists, arms and shoulders. I couldn’t believe till the road became pathetically bad as I neared charminar. The potholes and the dug up patches on the road, sent shockwaves of energy down my hand (my shock absorbers started behaving as shock receptors) and just to keep the bicycle going straight is an exercise that will melt all the fat in the arms.

Yes, cycling made me aware that Hyderabad is in Deccan plateau as I had to keep changing the gears in the undulating landscape.

Cycling is not just exercise for the body, it is soul food as the pedaling gives u ample time to think, to look around the beautiful city, and beautiful bus stops…yaa indeed beautiful stops …lol… and size up the monuments you never knew existed. I see the lanes and by lanes near charminar which I thought never existed. But cycling or for that matter any other workout is fun as long as it is being done, the impact is fell the next day when the body recoups and all other aches, pains and the creaking bones in untraceable  places start calling for attention

OH MY GOD-- Skip this film and you would be a happier human

The other day, Myself, Srinath and Rishabh thought of watching a good movie. And our skipper (Srinath) proposed a movie ‘OH MY GOD’. Little did we all know what our condition was going to be in the next 3 hours. Well I never, ever in my wildest dreams thought, that one day I will be writing about a recapitulation for a movie. Finally I was forced to. For the first time ever in my life I sensed that I/We wasted two and half hours after watching a movie. I sincerely bespeak everyone not to watch this movie even if some one provides free ticket :P. This movie wasted not only the precious time of all its viewers but also it wasted all professional actors. Well, having a BEST bus or a rickshaw picture pasted on the movie poster (despite having no relevance to the plot) shouldn't really give it the guise of a good offbeat film on a common man's life. disappointed miserably. This movie is clear example of "Too many cooks spoil the broth". The idea of god trying to help and humans oblivious of his presence is interesting but the execution is egregious, boring and bland. The pace is slow, the screenplay is stretched and the proceedings never gain momentum at any point.

Vinay Pathak attempts to repeat his common man act in the role of Dubey .A middle-class man who aspires to be Ambani through his multi-level foolish marketing schemes which nobody is interested in. He still remains foolishly optimistic that his scheme of things would make him a millionaire soon and keeps distributing his proposal pamphlets across the city, pathetically. So this is mere Pollyanna personified.

Dubey keeps praying to God to be there for him, though he never asks for monetary help since he is confident of making it big on his own. Nevertheless God (Saurabh Shukla) comes down to earth and insists on offering him financial aid through his different avatars. Did you ask why? God only knows! So, Script Sucks!!

God stumbles upon Dubey in the getup of a lottery-ticket vendor, gambler, policeman, investor, and bestows him with big money each time, but Dubey fails to recognize the opportunities. It's a case of god proposes man disposes. Finally a frustrated God imposes crores of cash on Dubey which he is unable to evade. And this wealth makes him paranoid to the extent of and mental instability.

The message that this parable intends to give is the age-old movie-moral that money is not everything and there's more to life blah blah blah! But the question to be asked is - did Dubey ever ask for money at the first place? No! So why is God hell-bent on helping him? And secondly movie condn't even convince its viewers that its message is "Money is not everything" It confused viewers rather then convincing.

Monotony sets in the second half with Dubey's repetitive attempts to get rid of the money. The climax is as delusional as the outrageous optical illusion that it opts for.

Watch the film and you will know that the title Oh My God symbolizes more of a sigh of Intense aversion than an exclamation remark. Skip this film and you would be a happier human.

Anyway, as Rishabh said its always good to get reminded sometimes on how precious time can be. Nevertheless, this movie taught us not "Money is not everything", but "Time is treasured, use it with kid gloves".

Nonetheless, we three completely and absolutely enjoyed that evening later.

Is Innocence a benediction?

It is indeed a melancholy experience for me to find myself writing about some very natural and innate things. The function of any software engineer is to perform some computer program, to add to computer science and not to talk / write about what he or other persons done. Statesmen despise publicists, painters despise art-critics, and Mathematicians, physiologists or physicists have usually similar feelings. There is no scorn more profound or, on the whole more justifiable, then that of men who make for the men who explain.

Exposition, criticism, appreciation, is work for second rate minds.

I can remember arguing this point once in one of the  few serious conversations that I ever had with Neha J.  Just the other day I was discussing about present contemporary topics. Our discussion varied from most preposterous issues to so called "senesce" things, from current political issues to love affairs and bomb blasts victims to peace missionaries. And in entire discussion I realized that we, so called “senesce” people forgot to enjoy the little things that nature endowed us.  In the mean time I saw few kids playing beside us in that lovely park. I still remember that moment….They all looked so damn happy to me. I said to her, why couldn’t I look like that? That’s an incredible thing about a child.. Sometimes I feel what’s so great about bubbles, they float, they pop. I wish I liked anything as much as kids love bubbles, their smiling faces just point out your inability to enjoy anything. Then this brilliant young woman with her dashing style, said that if you do what you love, you will really savor every micro second of your time.

I still remember that day, when we were in school and this girl was once asked to support her argument in favor of social welfare. She made the most powerful source imaginable, The look in the mothers face when she cannot feed her children. Can you look at the hungry child in the eye. See the blood on his feel on walking barefooted in long fields. Or if you ask the baby sitter with her belly swollen from hunger, if she cares for her dads work ethics? I was, indeed entire class was deeply moved.

Probably I was confused rather then convinced J

Then without out second thought she said getting married is also a way to become happy and said that it brings felicity and also Marriages is like a reality show which gives 22 min of pure happiness. Well, I don’t know but may be that’s not so funny.

I always feel marriage is like unfunny version of a reality show But it doesn’t last 22 min. it lasts forever. And it’s like treating a sick but not the ailment and the epidemic spread.

Well, I finally felt that we should not forget our basics-don’t forget to enjoy little things after all we grew with those thoughts

The Hope

The Hope-

I have promised, I have designed, I have striven and endeavored,
To the persistent purpose I have added the title.
The best that was in me I've given, at least according to me,
I have implored, but the gods would not heed.
I have defied and reached only catastrophe,
I have lost many things, fell many times.
Then i learnt to stand up after every fall
I have combated and broken my lance,
I am bruised by a ruthless master
That the weak and the timid call Chance.
Now I am old, I am bent, I am betrayed
Of all that Youth cheered me to win;
But dare not to name me with the defeated,
For tomorrow - again, I begin. --Aditya

Golconda Fort’s cordial reception

A Month ago i have been to golconda fort with raghu, lakshmi, kala and prudhvi. As a kid i was always bewitched with kings and stories about them. Ever wondered how a palace looked like or the ways of the kings seem like? I was in a state of limbo like many, until I visited Golconda fort. And this one has a lot to offer. This fort echoes the benevolence of the nizams. This place reveals the majestic lifestyle of the nizams. Embellished with finely structured fountain at the fore , a walk through the garden is refreshing. The speaks eloquently of the marvelous architecture of the dynasty. The closet of the gallantry reflects the valor of the warriors. one cannot take their eyes off

There was a little old man who talked to us . he was the groundskeeper of this place. he said “What We Do In Life Echoes In Eternity.” Do you beleive in this? When i was told abt this by that little old man, i was attracted outright, in a flash. Because for me eternity has a substantial meaning only in mathematics. And perhaps only in math we can define it and only a mathematician has the preprogative of daring to talk about eternity(infinity). And i marveled as how come this little old man talking about it?
Nobody knows the authenticity of this. I visited this place as a young teenager. It left a bigger impression on me then any of the meuseums, i had ever visited till now . He explained us that most of the people are buried here. I wondered how old they could be? Some are from wars of boats and things like that. But most of them were of abnormal death. I always liked the idea of all those unknown people who lost in the world. When I was a little kid I thought if none of your family or friends knew u are dead then its like not really being dead .People can invent the best and worst for u. Then we came across a grave. And this little old man told us that it is the one he remembered the most about. When she died she was only 22 That meant much to me because that is also my age .Now I am 1 year older and she is stil 22 ..i guess. That’s funny!!

Sometimes I feel like talking to someone, don’t know with whom and don’t know what exactly to talk.. but this strange and mysterious feeling kills me.
I remember my childhood as a magical time. I remember when my mother first told me about death. My grandmother just died and my whole family witnessed it in Hyderabad. I was about 9 , 9 ½ years old. Anyway, I was in the backyard playing and my brother just taught me how to take the garden hose and do it in such a way ..it sprayed into the sun and it would make a rainbow. And so I was doing that, and through the mist I could see my grandmother.
And she was just standing there, smiling at me. And , and.. i held it there for a long time
And I looked at her, And finally I let go the nozzle off., and then I dropped the hose, and she disappeared . And so I run back inside and tell my parents and they sit me down and give me this big rap down..when people die you would never see them again and how would I imagine it. But I knew I saw that and I was glad I saw that. I have nevse seen anything like that since. But I don’t know. Its just let me know how ambiguous everything around us was. Even Death.
And then I forgotten about the whole thing.. well, I guess I never really forgotten about that thing.

Some impressions make permanent memories leaving one with indelible thoughts. This trip is one of those kinds for me.

In A Class Of HIS OWN....

I am a great admirer of saurav ganguly since his inception in international cricket. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that soon I will have to write a farewell letter to him. Alas! That’s the way life goes. It’s really unfair. “Loathe him for his faults or admire him for his talents, dada is bound to be missed”. His has been an eventful career of highs and lows despair and conquest. Sourav has scale peaks and found himself in bottom. . Nicknamed Bengal Tiger, Prince of Calcutta and also affectionately called Dada (elder brother in Bengali) by his team-mates and Lord Snooty by his opponents, he is an aggressive player on and off the field.. ). Rahul Dravid once commented, "On the off-side, first there is God, then there is Ganguly"

It has been a obligating journey for the man they call dada. Despite the issue of fitness tormented him, an indomitable spirit has been his greatest ally. That never say die attitude perhaps can only be seen in dada among entire cricket team. He learnt from time to time. He had many differences with the so called famous coach which made headlines. Importantly he returned after every fall like a phoenix rising from its own ashes. His resilient attitude is praise worthy. He is known for his timing and glorious stroke play on the OFF SIDE. And one arcanum about this versatile player is that he is a natural right-hander………yes…do you believe??
But converted to the southpaw stance at a young age so that he could use his left-handed brother Snehasish Ganguly's equipment

He made his One Day International debut against Australia in 1992 and a Test debut versus England in 1996. Ganguly is a left-handed batsman and a right-handed medium-pace bowler Ganguly is only the third cricketer ever to score a century on debut at Lord's, after Harry Graham and John Hampshire (Andrew Strauss has also since accomplished the feat. He scored 183 against Sri Lanka at Taunton in the 1999 Cricket World Cup, the highest by an Indian in World Cup cricket
He came, he saw and he conquered. Now he retires. He says he is retiring because it’s time. He says there is no external pressure. If he says, we will have to believe it……yes? No? May be?

Well, nothing is bounded to nothing, one fine day dada will be out of the clutches of BCCI. After he retires, he is a free man. He might come out and speak the truth that happened. Why he decided to quit. And that day will surely inflict pain in all of us. what happened to dada may be helpless, but never did any one hear a single word of regret from him. He is a born leader, petrified with time. Strength and resilience being his motives.
My heart is now greaved. I can’t bear to think of cricket with no dada. I can’t see him returning to the pavilion with a silent message that he won’t come back again. He was the most important part of cricket for me for long. And when he goes, cricket no longer exists.I wish to talk of the career of Ganguly. Anybody ever wondered as why it’s the most talked of career? Why is it going to be the part of cricketing history? Why is it called the golden period of Indian cricket? And why it fueled agression, strenth and leadership in team?

Ganguly peaked his career during 1996-2000 before he was made the captain. He was the best batsman of the Indian team then. He came into the team in a test hundred in the debut. He became the faster Indian to score 3000, 4000,……,9000. A series worth remembering is one against Pakistan which India clinched 4-1 victory.
And let me tell you , It was won single handedly by Ganguly. He took around 300 runs and 15 wickets and topped batting and bowling charts. He was the man of the match in all four games India won consecutively. He even now holds the record of most number of consecutive man of the matches. It’s just an example. There are many others too. The highest runs scored in a world cup match is his forte. Sri Lankans were the guys who had to withstand that slaughter. He scored 183 which helped India score a 371 which again helped India get the required run rate for entering the Super Six round.
Victory is always for the KING
Live like a king and die like king. Begging was not of his least style. He believed in cricket and for him cricket is religion. With captaincy his batting performance declined. But considering other players, his batting was still world class. And mind you it just declined when compared to his own previous records. “Many still think of what Ganguly’s batting scorecard would have been had he not been the captain.” But my interest were never on this. It was Ganguly as a captain that astounded me. It filled me with the emotional impact of overwhelming surprise After the 1999 world Cup Australia went on a win-only-series-of-series. They won each and every test they played. The teams who played against them were afraid. Australians were considered as the ultimate and undefeatable team. It’s in this spirit that Aussies came to India. They expected a similar tense Indian team. But Ganguly proved to be just the opposite. He made Steve Waugh feel some pressure. He never believed Aussies are undefeatable and took special care not to let Aussies feel any kind of superiority. This was a new experience for the Aussies and they succumbed to it, loosing the series 1-2. Ganguly also led India to a World Cup Final, himself scoring a century in the semi final. He took Indian team to Australia. India was stuttering after 3 early wickets with a huge score to overtake. Ganguly came to the middle and scored 144 which is considered as his best Test Innings. He finished only when India were with a comfortable lead. He is also the first Indian to score a century in Australia against Australia

Victory is for the Roaring Tiger
The rest of the story is about ups and downs, of misfortunes and comebacks. This is a story every single child in India and in all cricketing nation knows. So I am not going into that.
For India, Ganguly was the MIGHTY FORCE, JUGGERNAUT, WHICH IS UNSTOPPABLE. The FORCE that united them, that made them strong, that made them realise their own strength, and that led from front. YES, GANGULY IS RIGHTLY CALLED THE BEST CAPTAIN.
HATS OFF TO YOU, Southpaw Oh! GOD OF OFF SIDE.
IN YOU WE FOUND A NEW SPIRIT, AN URGE TO CONQUER, A ROAR TO DEFEAT. HOPE YOU CAN CONTINUE TO TO SHOWER IT AROUND TILL THE END. Because of you, Indians learnt agression, because of you Indians learnt the true captaincy and its you who taught us how to be play abroad. You are and will be inspiration for the rest. And you are bound to be missed.

Paul Krugman choosen for Nobel(Economics) for Trade Analysis Theory

Just the other day i was going through paper and suddenly was drawn to the news of " Paul Krugman : One of the most Syndicated Liberal Columnist who got Nobel (Economics) for Trade Analysis Theory" And when i went through his theory it dumbfounded me...so simple it appears yet so complex. so i thought of reflecting some of my thoughts on this great man's theory.

The Much deserved US .Economist Paul Krugman, a prolific (intellectually productive) columnist and fierce critic of Washington’s economic policies, won the Nobel Prize on Monday.

Mr. Krigman (55), a Princeton university professor has formulated a new trade analysys theory, which determines the effects of free trade and globalization, as well as the driving forces behind worldwide urbanization said the citation.
The Nobel economics prize has been especially closely watched this year owing to the ongoing global financial crisis.
The Nobel committee hailed Mr. krugman for his approach based on “The premise that many goods and services can be produced mere cheaply in long series, a concept generally known as economics of scale” .
His theory shows that globalization tends to increase the pressure on urban living because specialization sucks people into these centers of concentration through processes that can result in “Regions become divided into a high technology urbanized core and a less developed ‘periphery’” .
Traditional theory assumes the differences between the countries explain why some nations export agricultural products while others export industrial goods. Such process holds out the possibility that some countries can improve their situation via a process of complementarity (The interrelation of reciprocity whereby one thing supplements or depends on the other).
But Mr.Krugmans theory clarifies why world-wide trade is , in fact , dominated by countries which not only have similar conditions but also trade in similar products” eg:Countries such as swedon that imports and exports cars.
His theory helps to explain that globalization tends towards concentration, both in terms of what a manufacturing base makes and where it is located. This kind of trade enables in specialization and large scale production, which results in lower prices and a greater diversity of commodities. Mr. Krugman is also author of dozens of books and several articles primarily about international trade and global finance and is known for creating the “New economic geography”.

A Date With History

Nostalgia being the most exquisite thing. It was just another day at school or plain old day at office But for me they turned into something more. All i wanted is to pause myself from the monotony of daily humdrum and recall a story that unfolded 6 years ago—that of our good old college days.
In the search of this myself along with my cheerful and energetic friend Raghu walked across the campus towards my final year engineering class. It was ten minutes past 11 and I was totally fagged, sweaty and almost drained of energy .ahhhh… extremely tired and completely exhausted as I did not had sufficient sleep from past two nights..(thanks to GE for my miserable condition :-p) .Well, but somewhere some spark kept me awake . Although there was’nt even a single trace of any life in the college It was very draggy except for we two.

Another ten steps.. and there was our class with the doors shut ! we were on the fifth floor... and the sun raising up with its orange rays was creating a wizardly scene. I pondered for a moment , wished time to stop at that very moment. Then we opened the doors of the class for one last time.

That very moment I could imagine Anita ma’am teaching Computer Applications Wished i cud ask my her..."may i come in.... " and wanted to hear her shout.... "You late again and again... no attendance this time." but to my dismay there was no one except empty desks and we two.
we were gaping at the black board, desks and walls all void. and the raised platform where the supposed to be excruciating classes were to be held and the last benches, where we had loads of fun , we were kicked out of class so many times for playing bollywood while at class . Hiding from the teachers and pleading them attendance. million memories flowed like a whirlpool into the fortress of our minds. There was complete silence for a moment and we both smiled a each other, I was pretty sure that in the depths of his psychological or intellectual profundity, same thoughts might have been flowed.

We then walked like champs cherishing our past memories ,jumping over the benches..
And we also had a look at the bench .. where we used to sit and play bollywood all the time :)drifted to our place, sat there, side seats. dint feel like the last day .... don't remember how we met .... how we came to such a stage... feels like i know my friends from ages... feel
like as if i was born in this college..... feel like i was always here... The entire class was still there alive.... the last benchers sleeping.......... the gals chatting amongst themselves........... the
teacher in her own world...... imran sitting besides me .... cribbing
about something .... shashi sitting on first bench taking down notes.... and raghu smiling at the babes.... gopi ... trying talking to the gals... and we laughing about something of the other..... me
occasionally scribbling something on my notepad............ making some sketches.. or playing bollywood .............
Ahh.. Raghu asking me to look outside... for some babes standing there....... and i without even a word...looked outside.. it was an unsaid communication..... but today there wasn't anybody
there................ just the abandoned corridor.......... and i could see only “Arjun” the chai wala at the end... no one there. As a living witness of this long forgotten years stands the lone Kaman in our campus premises.

we sat there all alone ,closed our eyes, for the entire world outside the walls of the campus was calling us. We just wanted to attend one last lecture. but this time there was no one to take that last lecture. And this time i wished we could attend one last lecture, wish we could really rewind time and play it back.
So much fun we used to have those days and it was a concoction of muddles and madness, scrapes and skirmishes, ruckus and rumpus. Love those days or hate those days but one cannot ignore college days.

Tatas Choose Gujarat as home for Nano

Forced to move out of singur, Tata Motors have decided to locate its small car project at sanand in Gujarat's Ahmedabad district. This agreement of 2000 crore was signed between themon oct 7th 2008.Tata has been allocated 1100 acres chharodi and charal villages, just 25 km from Ahmedabad.Mr.Tata said that the deal was "better" then what was offered by WB govt.
'Nano' may mean 'small' in Gujarati but dreams are getting BIG in Gujarat. Not even a free-falling Sensex could dampen the mood of the scrip-savvy Gujarati, a day after the momentous turn Tata's Nano took from Singur to Sanand. From college student to the rickshawalla, from business barons to toiling farmers, from the Congress to the BJP, everybody is talking about the Nano in positive terms. People are trying to figure out how Nano would change their life for the better and they are already sniffing out for opportunities to ride the Nano wave.

Comparisons with Singur are rather unnecessary, given Gujarat's long history of untiring enterprise. This state does not have a poor-will-never-gain-anything kind of thought even among the poor. Plus, it has a chief minister in Narendra Modi, who models Gujarat after Singapore and has reinforced the already-firm belief in Goddess Laxmi being the panacea for all ills. He believes that if you have the mega-bucks you can also improve the human development index (HDI) where Gujarat, despite its industrialisation, is a laggard, dragged down by poor health and education infrastructure. He wants Ahmedabad, despite its troubled communal past, to become a showpiece of his vision and rival other metros and mega-cities in all respects. For Tatas, they couldn't have given a better gift than Nano to Namo - as Modi is endearingly called in Gujarat by his fans - on the day he completed seven years in office.
But Tatas have come here by force, not by choice, It is one thing that Modi served them all the land they required on a platter and with a speed much more than 50 mph which Nano promises. But from the high-risk misadventure in West Bengal, where they ran into a political landmine, they have opted for a state which qualifies as the safest bet for investments. It may not have communal peace, but the state can certainly guarantee industrial peace and friendly trade unions. No political party even would want to oppose investments in business-friendly Gujarat.

Though Congress, which is the only relevant opposition here, may not like Nano becoming the Kohinoor in Modi's crown, it knows it can oppose Nano only at the peril of getting another backlash from Gujarati voters. While land has become such a huge issue in other parts of the country, industry is quietly chipping away at thousands of acres of farmland across Gujarat for manufacturing, including the massive acquisition for 60 SEZs cleared for Gujarat. Willing farmers in Gujarat may not even want any political support which, as the sordid Singur story showed, pushed Ratan Tata into Modi's waiting bear-hug.

How AP lost race for Tata car:

The inability of the Andhra Pradesh government to show good land sites to the Tata team in short notice and the fact that bagging the proj ect did not have high stakes for chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as it had for his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi were the reasons why the state lost the Nano project.
Stating these two to be the main reasons for AP losing out, state government officials said the minor protest by farmers at Sitarampur village in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday could also have a contributory role. “In the end, bagging the project would not mean much to YSR as it did for Modi. Hence, the state did not go out of its way to woo them,” said one official. According to sources, it was only on Saturday at around 3 pm that Tata Motors MD Ravi Kant called up AP officials and informed them of his decision to visit Hyderabad the next day. He also told them that they were interested in inspecting land that was within 50 km radius of Hyderabad.
As a result, we had less that 24 hours to identify government land for them,” said the official. But the sites at Sitarampur in RR and Wargal in Medak districts were entirely government land and was immediately available for the Tatas. “The Tata team had expressed concern over the contours of the site at Sitarampur, implying that they had to do a lot of levelling before undertaking construction of the plant. In contrast, Modi had got the agriculture university land near Ahmedabad levelled two days ago and had it ready to be handed over in a platter for the Tatas,” said the official.

By Monday, when Tata Motors senior general manager M B Kulkarni visited the Wargal site, they had already decided on Gujarat. “They were only going through the exercise. In fact, they were ordering material for the Gujarat location while en route to Wargal. By the evening, we realised that the project is lost,” one official said. According to the sources, Ratan Tata called up the chief minister on Monday evening and conveyed his decision to opt out of AP. “Rajasekhara Reddy too did not try to persuade him to change his mind as landing the project was not that big an issue for him,” said a senior official.

Tatas and Singur --A Strong Disagreement

In the recent past i came across the news of Ratan tata's regretful decision to shift the nano car project out of singur in west bengal which is in the intrest of the nano small car projects sucess, viability and in the light of oppositions continued and heightened agitation there, although work began at jan 2007.
During the 90 minute meeting with chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Ratan Tata confirmed that they took this regretful decedion to move the nano project out of west bengal, as they wqere left with no option and this decesion was taken despite the investor friendly policies of the govt. And Ratan tata himself told to journalists that he still have a great deal of respect for the leadership of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.
Althou indistries minister Nirupam sen said that this decision is very unfortunate for west bengal. Meanwhile Trinamool congress chief Mamta Banerje, who has been spearheading (leading) the agitation at singur for return of the land taken forcibly from the farmersfor this project described the decision as " a Joint game plan of Tatas and CPI(M). And also she termed the pullout a "Political" one and said the pact between company and govt to set up the project was not being brought out in the open "for it had a political intent".
But tata has completely other things to say about this, that they have a timeline to reachand also made public promises and they cannot let something lie in limbo.
And the next obvious question of where this project going to be relocated is something to ponder, as it is not yet disclosed.
As per tata, they got offers from 3 or 4 states. And tata once again apologised for his decision and categorically denied any issues with state givt., but with circumstances. And he also made it clear that the reason to pull out singur "was the agitation by the opposition party led by Mamta banergee and not the state govt. And he also said that he is bullish about the industrial prospects of WB. He pointed out "Mamta Banerjee had publicly said that people of WB decided that they do not want you..and he is not pulling out because of some whim or fancy.
May be this is political way of gaining selfish motives by the opposition parties, or may be the ruling party. But in the end its the state which has to incur all the losses.

My First Love

My First Love

I always believed that Love is something without which you cannot LIVE. It was my school days, when I first saw that special entity I was in grade 2..May be I don’t have the faintest idea of what I am talking about but perhaps that was the most beautiful one I had ever seen. Ok now let me tell you something about this beauty.
Well, she was not the prettiest of all I have seen .There was D’Cruz, and this beauty wasn’t the second prettiest either, it was priyanka. Yes my beauty was third. “This beauty” has an errand when I first saw her, my heart started beating, faster and faster. I thought what the heck is this? Oh My God, whats this feeling in the pit of my stomach! 1 Then I thought what is this….this… amazing entity before me?
In that one moment, this beauty passed D’Cruz,…. passed priyanka…and I was, umm… so muddled .That beauty created all problems to me...I am supposed to despise that entity
But ironically I got attracted to that charm. My idiosyncrasies being taciturn and little bit introvertism. Slowly we grew with time, I started to know much abt that beauty and vice versa. It was summer break and our classes will not be there for another 3 months…UGH!! What could I do... except loiter and hope! So I was at home thinking about that beauty I was charming and suave perhaps smoothly agreeable and courteous with a degree of sophistication. Everything that you could hope to be on your first real date!! May be I thought I should mingle more.
And finally I invited my beauty to my house and problems followed but never had I felt so alive
I have absolutely no idea of what is going on, that beauty was totally a mystery to me! Do I want to kiss? May be yes, I wanted more then anything on earth...but that’s disgusting!
And our relationship continued nicely!! I was in 11th grade when I was invited; this was not a figment of my imagination
I was about to have a date with my beauty and GOSH! my final examination started. I like to being quite and Contemplative but now days I am spontaneous

Is there any more excruciation then this. Some where million miles away the beauty I once loved was going down her way and I was stuck back on mine. I did not know how to contact her, how to tell her that I was unable to make up that day
But it was not that easy, I guess love never is!!
Wish our relationship grew little further…but ironically we remained school friends forever
It’s Amazing how quickly time moves. Its yesterday I thought I loved her
Love isn’t about preposterous little words, love is about grand gestures
Love is about going that extra mile, even if it hurts
It’s about finding courage inside you that u didn’t even know it was there
I don’t want these little things left unsaid smother me
The truth is you come into this world alone and leave it exactly the same way

May be Love will get you nothing but few incredible memories that u can’t ever shake
The truth is there are another girls and subjects over there but we never gonna get our first love. Yes my first love is MATHEMATICS
And that ones always gonna be maths although engineering contaminated it to a great extent.

But for me “Love happens only once, the rest is just life”.
